The Challenge

We were approached back in 2010 to help create a brand for a new French-style furniture company, at the time there was no name or any detailed direction for the brand.

There were many other competitors with pretty good reputations already online so the challenge was to create an engaging brand that conveyed the style of the products and ethos of the business. Something that would not date but could adapt to changes within their business over time.

The Solution

Having discussed their business plans and strategy in detail we set about creating initial brand designs. These covered various options, angles and approaches the brand could take. The Chichi product range was varied and also in some cases bespoke so we wanted to create something unique that really was unmistakably them.

The Chichi brand is used across many different media’s and platforms so it needed to be flexible and adaptable. The final brand delivers a clean and crisp visual, unique to them and their products with the flexibility to adapt and evolve with the business and it’s product range.

ChiChi started out life as an eBay shop. Once we had completed and designed the new brand we set to work to design and develop a bespoke website with online shop. The ChiChi website delivers a taste of the products through the site design as well as an easy to use interface and consistent user experience across various platforms.

Chichi have required various brochures over the years to showcase their range of elegant french styled furniture. This featured eight page brochure utilises sleek product photography, and is finished on heavy weight paper with a smooth matt laminated finish, giving the brochure the touch of quality expected from a high end brand.

The ChiChi brand has evolved over time which demonstrates the versatility in the design and thought behind it as the core logo and brand has never had to change or go through a re-brand in over 6yrs of trading. A well thought out brand should not need to be re-designed unless the business suddenly takes a big chance in direction.

Advertising has not been a big part of ChiChi’s strategy over the years but we have created a few specialist adverts for key publications aimed at audiences local to their Essex showroom. Billboard and large format advertising has also been used within the local area for general brand and product awareness.
