We first found out that Leonard Gray were in need of design and marketing support at a local social event in Chelmsford back in 2015. We got chatting and discovered there were many areas we believed VMS could help them.
As a local business with long standing history in Chelmsford Leonard Gray had started to loose it’s hold on the local market share and needed to look at ways to get back in front of the local audience. They had perhaps been a little guilty of relying on people always finding them rather than marketing to try and attract new clients and grow local awareness of their brand and services.
We quickly identified key areas of focus for our work including local reputation, brand and service messaging, local advertising and online marketing. These are areas we have worked with Leonard Gray on since 2015 to set the ground work ready for more specific marketing and campaigns to be implemented.
We engaged with Leonard Gray and ran a ‘Brand Discovery’ workshop with them, this proved a very valuable experience for them and us as it unlocked some key information about them, their service messages and opportunities, as well as deciding exactly what they stand for and why.
Focusing on their outbound marketing initially we rejuvenated their paper advertising and local direct mail, introducing new features and different ways to convey standard information which had an instant effect. People started to notice them again, comments were heard from the local community about their new advertising which had moved away from the standard expected format.
Further development of the brand has continued since then into company literature, new signage options and advertising opportunities. The production of a defined marketing strategy to align to business targets has given focus and direction along with regular marketing consultation to ensure momentum is maintained.
